Known issues on the 2007 A4. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year, and all three trace back to the same component: the passenger frontal air bag inflator module. In each case, propellant degradation in the inflator can cause it to rupture or explode during deployment, sending sharp metal fragments into the driver or other occupants and risking serious injury or death.
