The download I received was a complete waste of my money. Was not even close to what it was represented as. I thought I was getting a proper service repair manual. What I got was a collection of service bulletins. I sent an email to your company right after I looked through it requesting my money back. Have yet to hear a response. Terry Muich

More detailed than I thought, still trying to navigate through it, not what I thought it would be, thought it would be more like the Haynes manual.

It was much larger than i expected. 5 documents at 12k pages each. Its not something ill actually be able read but its easy enough to find what you need..
The Ford F250 manual is much easier to navigate at just over 8000 pages.
If i spend the money for Adobe Acrobat Professional ill be able to break it down into manageable bits.
Both manuals area great value for the money.

Schematics were not high resolution making the markings and names difficult to read when zoomed in. Improvement is needed. Otherwise it is a good document.

I wasn’t sure why I needed this to be a PDF, but it was apparent once I got it. It includes what would be thousands of pages if it were in print. The links take you to wherever you need to go in the text.

would rather have a maintenance manual. have a parts manual from parts vu company. only difference is that your parts manual has all together whereas the parts vu had to download the differsections individually.

Our original order was supposed to be for our 2014 Subaru Outback, yet the manual came up as Forester. We did have to purchase a new manual in order for them to send us the correct manual. We hope it will help us repair our Subaru.

The 1997 Acura RL was built with a single engine, the 3.5L 3475cc SOHC V6, and offered in two sedan trims. This service and repair manual is matched to that exact year, so the specifications and repair sequences line up with your car rather than a neighboring model year.

Engines

  • 3.5L V6 — 3475cc (212 cu in), SOHC, naturally aspirated, gas

Trims

  • Premium Sedan 4-Door
  • Base Sedan 4-Door

Known issues on the 1997 RL. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the automatic transmission: a transmission case bolt can loosen and fall out, allowing the transmission to disengage from the differential, and the vehicle could lose power to the drive wheels without warning. The second covers the front suspension lower control arm ball joints, which can prematurely wear out and, in the worst case, separate — a condition that would result in vehicle deceleration and a sudden loss of power, with steering control also affected. Owners have filed 24 complaints and Acura has issued 67 technical service bulletins for the year. This manual carries the factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind both of those systems.

From a routine service interval to a front ball-joint inspection or a transmission fault you need to trace properly, it keeps you on the factory procedure and the correct specification for your specific 1997 RL.

NHTSA #99V22700019/08/1999Component: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. A TRANSMISSION CASE BOLT CAN LOOSEN AND FALL OUT ALLOWING THE TRANSMISSION TO DISENGAGE FROM THE DIFFERENTIAL.

Consequence

THE VEHICLE COULD LOSE POWER TO THE DRIVE WHEELS WITHOUT WARNING. ALSO, SHIFTING THE TRANSMISSION INTO THE PARK POSITION WOULD NOT LOCK THE WHEELS, AND A PARKED VEHICLE COULD MOVE UNEXPECTEDLY IF THE PARKING BRAKE IS NOT SET.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL INSTALL A REDESIGNED BOLT.

NHTSA #99V06900010/05/1999Component: SUSPENSION:FRONT:CONTROL ARM:LOWER BALL JOINT

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. CERTAIN VEHICLES WERE MANUFACTURED WITH BALL JOINTS THAT CAN PREMATURELY WEAR OUT AND, IN THE WORSE CASE, THE BALL JOINT WOULD SEPARATE CAUSING THE FRONT SUSPENSION TO COLLAPSE.

Consequence

THIS CONDITION WOULD RESULT IN VEHICLE DECELERATION AND A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER. ALSO STEERING CONTROLLABILITY WOULD BE REDUCED.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER BALL JOINTS.

CAR WILL NOT CRANK EVERY TIME. WE THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY AND PUT A NEW BATTERY IN AND IT WORKED FINE FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND THEN STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN. I TALKED WITH ACURA OF MEMPHIS AND THEY SAID IT COULD NOT BE FIXED. THEY SAID THAT THE 97 3.5 RL DOES THAT SOMETIME AND THAT IT HAS NOT HAPPENED TO ANY OTHER ACURA VEHICLE. THEY SAID NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT. IT MAY NOT CRANK AT FIRST, BUT IT WILL ALWAYS CRANK EVENTUALLY. THAT IS ONE HELL OF A WAY TO DEPEND ON YOUR CAR. I PUT UP WITH IT FO
