Known issues on the 1995 New Yorker. The 1995 New Yorker has two recalls on the federal record. On certain 1995 New Yorker vehicles, fatigue cracks could let the lower control arm brackets separate from the engine cradle, and a half-shaft could then slip out of the transaxle and cut drive power; the cradle was reinforced. On certain cars built with the 3.5L engine, fuel could seep from the injection rail seals or from fine cracks in the rail itself, which could start a fire. Owners filed 59 complaints, led by steering (14); 4 reported a crash, 3 an injury and 1 a fire.
