1985 Chrysler New Yorker Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1985 New Yorker. NHTSA lists two recalls for the 1985 New Yorker, both limited to a particular engine fitment. On certain 1985 New Yorker vehicles, the underhood supply hose could leak at its joints to the regulator and fuel rail in cold weather, a fire hazard; the regulator was moved and the hose rerouted. On certain others, a clamp on the hose to the regulator may have been left loose, which could also lead to a leak and fire, so it was repositioned and torqued. Of 7 complaints, 3 involve the fuel system; 2 reported a fire and 1 a crash. Both recalls lead to the fuel system, which gets procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics.
