1992 Chrysler New Yorker Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 1992 Chrysler New Yorker handles four gasoline engines. Known issues on the 1992 New Yorker. Two recalls stand against the 1992 New Yorker. On certain 1992 New Yorker vehicles with anti-lock brakes, the hydraulic control unit's actuator piston seals could wear enough to damage the pump motor, and the car could lose ABS and part of its brake assist; dealers tested the system and repaired it where needed. On certain others, zinc plating left the upper steering column coupling bolt brittle enough to snap, which could cost steering control, and a phosphate-plated bolt replaced it. Of 48 owner complaints, 10 name hydraulic brakes and 9 steering; 2 reported a crash and 2 an injury.
