1994 GMC G1500 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1994 GMC G1500 covers a narrower engine range than earlier years: the naturally aspirated 5.0L OHV V8 and 4.3L OHV V6, and nothing beyond them. The van itself is unchanged in shape, appearing as a standard or extended cargo body and a standard or extended passenger body under the Vandura, Rally and Rally STX names. Specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostic procedures are given by system, with engine mechanical data listed separately for the V6 and the V8.

Known issues on the 1994 G1500. Two recalls reach this model year, both of them on replacement service parts rather than original equipment. Aftermarket fuel filters could seal inadequately where they connect, allowing fuel to escape and, near an ignition source, to catch. Aftermarket oil filters from the same period could seal poorly too, losing engine oil with a similar fire risk. One owner complaint, concerning the suspension, is on record. Fuel line and lubrication service, along with front suspension overhaul and its alignment specifications, are covered here.
