Known issues on the 1984 C15. One owner complaint exists for this year, and it concerns the power train. That is thin ground for a pattern, which makes the manual the better guide to the truck. It gives clutch and transmission removal and overhaul procedures, driveshaft and universal joint service, rear axle disassembly with the shim and backlash specifications, and the torque values for every fastener in that path.
