2023 Kia Forte Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2023 Forte. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year, and both sit in the steering and front suspension. The first covers the front lower control arm: the right front lower control arm may have been improperly welded, which can cause it to fail, and front lower control arm failure can cause a sudden loss of steering control. The second covers the front left steering knuckle, which may crack due to a manufacturing error and result in a loss of steering control, and a loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.
