Known issues on the 2023 Q8. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the driver's seat side air bag, which may have been improperly mounted to the seatback frame and so may not restrain an occupant as intended during a crash. The second covers the rearview camera, where a software error can prevent the image from displaying and reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle. An improperly mounted air bag may not restrain an occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy
