Known issues on the 2022 Q8. Three recalls are on federal record for this model. Two of them cover the rearview camera failing to display an image when the vehicle shifts into reverse, one traced to a software error and the other to internal damage in the infotainment main unit after shutdown, both reducing the driver's rear visibility and increasing the risk of a crash. The third, issued in 2025, again covers a software error that can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying as intended. No complaints or technical service bulletins are logged for the year.
