Known issues on the 2021 Q8. Seven recalls are on federal record for this model year. Rear seat belt automatic locking retractors can deactivate early, preventing a child restraint system from securing properly. A rear axle alignment that was never inspected after an earlier recall repair can leave the axle misaligned, causing premature or uneven tire wear. A broken lock nut on the rear trailing arm can misalign the rear axle, risking loss of control. A component inside the fuel pump can break and cause the pump to fail, leading to an engine stall. A software issue can leave the rearview camera display blank when the vehicle is placed in reverse, cutting the driver's rear visibility. A software error in the instrument panel display can cause it to fail, hiding critical safety information like the speedometer and warning lights. And a separate rearview camera software error can prevent the image from displaying at all. Owners have filed 30 complaints for the year. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.

From a rear axle and lock nut inspection to a fuel pump diagnosis or a rearview camera fault, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2021 Q8.
