There is already a service bulletin for the vacuum pumps on these cars, but it should be made into a recall because these pumps generate the vacuum needed by the brake system. I took it to the Lexus dealer for replacement out of warranty, which I had to pay out-of-pocket, since service bulletins only apply to cars under warranty, and they still installed another replacement vacuum pump that was impacted by the service bulletin and still had the issues. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the driver's side seat belt would not extend out and the driver was unable to access and latch the seat belt.
