2021 Kia Forte5 Service and Repair Manual
Kia wrote one set of specifications for the 2021 Forte5, and this factory service and repair manual is matched to that exact year, engine and trim — so every torque figure and fastener sequence you follow is the one issued for your hatchback rather than an approximation carried over from a neighboring model year.

Known issues on the 2021 Forte5. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the air bag restraint control module: the Occupant Classification and Detection System unit may not detect the presence of a child restraint, and in the event of a crash the front passenger air bag can deploy with a child in that seat. The second covers the steering column, where a bolt may not be secured properly, which can cause the steering column to detach; loss of steering control can increase the risk of a crash. Owners have filed 95 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are logged.
Whether you are chasing an occupant-detection fault, checking steering column hardware, or working through a scheduled service, the procedure you follow stays the one Kia published for the 2021 Forte5.
