Known issues on the 2020 Telluride. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. One covers the electrical system wiring on vehicles equipped with Smart Cruise Control, where the trailer brake lights do not illuminate when a trailer is connected; inoperative trailer brake lights can fail to warn other drivers that the vehicle is slowing. A second covers the exterior lighting, where the high beam headlights may fail, and inoperable high beam headlights may reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. A third covers the driveline, where the intermediate shaft and right front driveshaft may not be fully engaged, and a vehicle roll away increases the risk of a crash or injury. A fourth covers trailer hitches on vehicles potentially equipped with a Genuine Kia 4-pin tow hitch harness installed as original equipment or purchased as an accessory, where a fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury. A fifth covers the seat belt assemblies in the front passenger, second and/or third row seats, which may not tightly secure a child restraint system; if a child seat is not properly secured, there is an increased risk of injury to the occupant. The sixth covers the front power seat assembly, where the motor may overheat due to a stuck power seat slide knob, and a fire increases the risk of injury.
