Known issues on the 2020 S8. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the rear axle: misalignment left uninspected after an earlier repair campaign can cause premature or uneven tire wear, increasing the risk of a crash. The second covers the engine control module, where a missing sealing pin can let moisture reach the ECM connector and trigger a malfunction that stalls the engine. The third covers the rear axle trailing arm lock nut, which can break from stress corrosion and misalign the axle, causing a loss of control. The fourth covers the rearview camera, where a software error can prevent the image from displaying, reducing the driver's view behind the vehicle.
