Known issues on the 2020 S7 Sportback. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. Rear axle misalignment left uninspected after an earlier repair can cause premature or uneven tire wear. An incorrectly manufactured air bag score line may keep the passenger air bag from deploying properly and can eject plastic debris into the cabin during a crash. A broken lock nut on the rear trailing arm, caused by stress corrosion, can misalign the rear axle and lead to a loss of control. A sticking fuel level sender can display an inaccurate reading and cause the engine to stall from an unexpected lack of fuel. Liquid spilled in the rear seat can penetrate and shut down the gateway control module, suddenly reducing engine power. A software error can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying, cutting the driver's view behind the vehicle.
