Known issues on the 2019 GLS450. The 2019 GLS450 appears in three recalls on the federal record. On certain vehicles a 48-volt ground connection beneath the passenger seat might not be tight enough, which could let it overheat and start a fire; dealers checked and tightened it. Emergency calling accounts for the other two, on certain vehicles: communication module software that could give the wrong crash location, and a SIM card fault that could break the mobile connection. Owners lodged 22 complaints, with engine and engine cooling and the power train most often named; one reported a crash, one a fire and one an injury.
