Known issues on the 2018 5500. The record for the 2018 5500 has 6 recalls. Certain 2018 Ram 5500 cab chassis trucks had brake hoses between the master cylinder and hydraulic control unit with ferrules that might be unplated and could corrode, leak fluid and cut braking; dealers inspected the hoses and replaced them where needed. On certain trucks, a wiring short could leave cruise control engaged after the brake was pressed. Certain trucks were subject to an incorrect lug nut torque figure that could lead to over-tightened nuts and a broken wheel stud.
