Known issues on the 2018 Outlander Sport. Two recalls are recorded, both involving software on certain 2018 Outlander Sport vehicles equipped with Forward Collision Mitigation. In one, possibly incorrect programming in the hydraulic unit control module could keep automatic emergency braking, ABS or stability control from intervening when needed. In the other, the collision mitigation module could keep the brakes applied after a detected pedestrian had moved clear, inviting a rear-end impact; dealers reprogrammed both modules.
