This factory service and repair manual for the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 addresses a lineup built around one powerplant, a turbocharged 2.0L inline-four with a DOHC valvetrain that runs on gasoline. Two bodies were offered, the four-door sport utility and the four-door sport utility coupe, and the trim list reaches five names: Base, 4Matic, Avantgarde, Off-Road and Sport. Known issues on the 2018 GLC300. Twelve recalls are on the federal record for the 2018 GLC300. Certain vehicles with both the Audio 20 head unit and automatic child seat recognition could have a display that would report the passenger air bag as on when it was not, and a head unit software update fixed it. Certain vehicles equipped with a panoramic sunroof may have had the roof panel ahead of the glass poorly bonded during an earlier repair, so it could come away and become a road hazard; dealers fitted a new panel. The 86 owner complaints center on the engine (28), the electrical system (13) and structure (9); 4 reported a crash, 1 a fire and 2 an injury. Wiring diagrams, procedures and diagnostics for these systems are in the manual.
