Known issues on the 2018 Transit Custom. Eight recalls stand against the 2018 van, all eight filed by companies that modify it rather than by Ford. Glass roof hatches were recalled because temperature and vibration stress can shatter the tempered pane and drop fragments on passengers; a hybrid conversion driveshaft joint was recalled for the risk of the shaft detaching; and the remainder cover foldaway seats whose backs can move in a crash.
