Known issues on the 2017 Macan. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. The front passenger occupant classification sensor mat can degrade and fail to detect a passenger, so the air bag may not deploy in a crash. The optional ski bag's fastening strap may have been sewn with incorrect thread, letting the strap seams tear and the bag come loose in a crash. The fuel pump service cover can contact the fuel pump filter flange's flow nozzle, cracking it and leaking fuel near an ignition source. The anti-roll bar connecting links can move out of position, letting the vehicle oversteer and increasing the risk of losing control. A separate fuel pump flange defect can also crack and leak fuel. Finally, the screw securing the outboard rear seat belt anchor to the seat frame may not have been tightened properly, allowing the anchor to detach in a crash.
