Known issues on the 2017 C63 AMG. NHTSA's list for the 2017 C63 AMG runs to 11 recalls, including two involving how occupants are held in place. Certain convertible and coupe versions were recalled because the right side of a front seatback might not latch, so the seatback could fold forward in a crash. Certain 2017 C63 AMG vehicles had front belts that might not wind fully back in, which put them out of line with a federal occupant-protection standard. Certain rear-wheel-drive convertible versions could have a locknut inside the steering rack snap under heavy load and lock the steering in place.
