Known issues on the 2017 Q3. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers exterior lighting: an inoperable front turn signal on LED-equipped headlights may fail to alert the driver, so a turn or lane change can be made without any signal showing, increasing the risk of a crash. The second covers the brake lights: if the parking brake is applied during emergency braking, the brake lights will not activate, leaving a following vehicle with no warning that the car is stopping. The third covers a software issue in the electrical system: certain vehicles were programmed with software that can inadvertently leave the side marker lights inoperative alongside the parking or headlights, reducing visibility at night.
