Known issues on the 2016 Q3. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers exterior lighting: with LED headlights, an inoperable front turn signal may not trigger a dashboard indicator, so the driver could turn or change lanes without signaling, raising crash risk. The second covers the brake lights: if the parking brake is applied during emergency braking, the brake lights fail to activate, leaving following traffic with no warning that the vehicle is stopping. The third covers the electrical system: software programmed into the vehicle can inadvertently leave the side marker lights inoperative alongside the parking or headlights, reducing visibility at night.
