Known issues on the 2016 GLE63 AMG. The federal record holds six recalls for this model year. Water could collect in the spare wheel well of certain vehicles and damage the fuel pump control unit, stalling the engine while driving; dealers added a drain plug and replaced the unit where needed. Certain vehicles equipped with the Active Curve System could lose foaming oil from the reservoir cap vents when the level ran low, a fire risk. On certain vehicles the power steering connector could let water into the control unit and switch off steering assist.
