Known issues on the 2016 GL450. There are five recalls for the 2016 GL450. On certain vehicles a poorly sealed connector could let water into the electric power steering control unit and switch off assist; dealers replace the connector and inspect the rack. On 37 certain vehicles, the bolt joining the upper control arm to the axle stub may have been left loose, which could upset wheel tracking. Other campaigns updated air bag software on certain vehicles, addressed foaming oil escaping the Active Curve System reservoir on certain vehicles equipped with it, and corrected emergency call location software on certain vehicles.
