Known issues on the 2015 GL450. Axle hardware is at the center of one of the three 2015 GL450 recalls. On certain vehicles built from September 2014 to March 2015, bolts on the front or rear drive axle carriers may have been fitted incorrectly, and the rest could snap, making the vehicle unstable; dealers replace the carrier bolts. Another covers certain vehicles equipped with the Active Curve System, whose reservoir oil could foam and leak from the cap when the level ran low, posing a fire risk. The third fixes emergency call software on certain vehicles. Eighteen complaints name this SUV, led by the engine; two reported a fire, one a crash and one an injury.
