Known issues on the 2016 M3. Three recalls stand against this year and two of them sit in the driveline. In one, the connection between the driveshaft and its flange can fail and the car loses propulsion; in the other, a driveshaft slip joint that was never packed with grease can fail and cut drive to the rear axle. The third covers rear sub-frame bolts that were reused during previous differential service and can work loose, affecting handling and control. Five complaints are recorded, three about the engine and one about the suspension.
