Known issues on the 2010 M3. Four recalls apply. Two involve driver air bag inflators that can rupture on deployment and turn the propellant housing into fragments. One covers a positive battery cable connection at the fuse box that can degrade and cause an intermittent loss of power, with the risk that the car stalls. The fourth concerns climate control wiring and connectors that overheat and can melt into a fire even while the car sits unused.
