This factory service and repair manual for the 2014 GMC Terrain covers the four-door sport utility across Denali, SLE and SLT trim with the same two engines carried forward: the 2.4L DOHC inline-four of 145 cubic inches and the 3.6L DOHC V6 of 217 cubic inches, both naturally aspirated and both listed as gasoline or flex-fuel capable. Coverage runs from engine mechanical work through the driveline, brakes, suspension, restraints and body, with published specifications and torque values stated per system and wiring diagrams supporting the diagnostic procedures.

Known issues on the 2014 Terrain. Two recalls are on the federal record. The headlight housings produce a reflection that lights areas outside the driver's own view brightly enough to glare other drivers, and the ball joints in the windshield wiper module can corrode until one or both wipers quit. Those two are consistent with the complaint record: of 301 filings with NHTSA, the engine draws the most, with visibility and wipers close behind and the power train third. Wiper linkage service, engine diagnostics and driveline procedures are all documented here.
