Known issues on the 2011 G55 AMG. This year's single recall was about the dashboard trim near the passenger air bag. On certain 2011 G55 AMG vehicles built between September 20, 2010 and April 27, 2011, a molding strip could break free when the front passenger air bag deployed and be thrown into the cabin, raising the chance of injury. Dealers strengthened the joint between the strip and the air bag cover flap. The manual gives the trim removal procedures, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics for that air bag module.
