Known issues on the 2006 G55 AMG. One recall names the 2006 G55 AMG. It applied to certain vehicles equipped with a grille that shields the front turn signals: the grille was a permitted accessory, yet over time it could cut the light output enough that the signals fell short of the federal standard for lamps and reflective equipment, leaving other motorists less able to see a turn coming. Dealers replaced the turn signal units with versions built for use behind the grilles. The manual supplies the removal steps, wiring diagrams and circuit diagnostics for that exterior lighting assembly.
