2009 Suzuki SX4 Service and Repair Manual

The 2009 SX4 was the last year for the original 143-hp 2.0L J20A engine before a revised four arrived for 2010. Buyers again chose between the all-wheel-drive Crossover hatchback and the front-drive Sport sedan, each with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Engine management and some drivetrain hardware changed the next year, so specifications for a 2010 car will not always match. Known issues on the 2009 SX4. Three recalls are on federal record: screws securing the outside mirrors can loosen and drop a mirror; the front passenger occupant classification sensor mat can fail so the air bag deploys regardless of occupant; and a Garmin nuvi navigation unit fitted to some cars may have an overheating battery.
