Known issues on the 2009 S63 AMG. NHTSA filed a single recall against the 2009 S-Class line. On certain 2009 S-Class line vehicles, the passenger-side door locks for the front and rear may have been fitted in each other's positions at the factory, leaving a front door that would not open from its inside handle alone and a rear door that a simple pull could open even when locked. Of three owner complaints about the 2009 S63 AMG, touching brakes, steering and suspension, 1 reported a crash and 1 reported a fire.
