Certain vehicles sold or ever registered in Zone A states and territories, among them Florida, Texas and California, got new passenger front air bag modules because the inflator could explode and scatter fragments. Certain cars had an air bag control unit that could corrode and fire the bags without cause or keep them from deploying, and certain others needed control unit software updated so the bags deploy as intended.
