2007 GMC C4500 Topkick Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2007 GMC C4500 Topkick covers four chassis forms — a conventional two-door cab and chassis, a crew cab and chassis, a cutaway and a cab-and-chassis cutaway — under six model codes, with either the turbocharged 6.6L diesel V8 or the naturally aspirated 8.1L gasoline V8 installed. Since these trucks are finished by outside body builders, the factory-level detail matters: the manual gives procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics for the chassis exactly as it was built.

Known issues on the 2007 C4500 Topkick. Both recalls on this model year concern add-on equipment. In one, an aftermarket wheelchair-lift interlock relies on a protection diode that a voltage spike can destroy, after which the truck can be driven with the lift deployed. In the other, the axle-side lateral control bracket of an aftermarket rear air suspension has been found cracked, which spoils handling and can lead to loss of control. Two owner complaints are logged with NHTSA, one on fuel and propulsion and one on the engine and engine cooling — both areas the manual covers with full specifications and diagnostics.
