Known issues on the 2006 Armada. Five recalls are on federal record for this model year. Front and rear lower control link collars sold as replacement parts can have welds that fail to meet strength requirements, and a separated collar weld degrades vehicle handling and can lead to a crash. The intelligent power distribution module's ECM relay can develop silicon oxide buildup on its contacts from arcing, which can cause engine stalling and increase crash risk. The air conditioning condenser fan motor can allow water intrusion from inadequate sealing, risking corrosion in the motor that can lead to overheating and fire. The instrument panel fuel gauge can inaccurately read roughly a quarter tank of fuel remaining when the tank is empty, which can cause the vehicle to run out of gas and stall on the highway. An aftermarket Hopkins trailer brake control connection harness can misroute wiring so trailer brakes fail to apply when the tow vehicle brakes, reducing stopping ability. Remedy
