Known issues on the 2006 CL55 AMG. A single recall was filed by NHTSA against the wider 2006 C215-chassis models. It covered certain of those vehicles with Active Body Control acceleration sensors fitted to the front struts, where uneven soldering on the sensor circuit boards could produce readings that differ from side to side. The result could be one front strut compensating for body movement while the other stays put, giving the driver an uneven front suspension. Dealers checked and replaced sensors where needed. The manual's suspension procedures, diagnostics and wiring diagrams address that system.
