2006 Chevrolet W3500 Tiltmaster Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2006 Chevrolet W3500 Tiltmaster covers a low-tilt straight truck offered with two engines, a naturally aspirated 6.0L OHV V8 of 364 cubic inches on gasoline and a turbocharged 5.2L inline-four diesel of 317 cubic inches, on the single W3S042 specification. Trucks of this kind spend their lives loaded, and the sections a technician opens most often, engine mechanical, fuel, cooling, driveline and brakes, are given with the measurements and torque values that make a repair verifiable.

Known issues on the 2006 W3500 Tiltmaster. Three recalls sit on the federal record. Gasoline tanks on these trucks can corrode until they leak. On the diesel side, fuel can seep from the pipe joints at the supply pump ports. The third is the most damaging: oil pipe bolts left under-tightened in production can loosen with use, oil escapes past the seals, and an engine starved that way can seize while the truck is moving. Two complaints are recorded, one on the fuel system and one on the power train.
