Known issues on the 2006 Trailblazer EXT. Six recalls are recorded for this year, and four of them share one failure: fluid entering the driver's door module or its master power window switch corrodes the circuit board, which can short, so window and lock switches go dead and a fire can start with the vehicle parked and unattended. A headlamp driver module can also overheat and fail, leaving the headlamps and daytime running lights out, and an out-of-specification power steering hose can fracture under full lock and remove steering assist. Complaints reach 1,312, 641 of them on the fuel system.
