Known issues on the 2006 Avalanche 2500. A single recall is on the federal record for this year, and it concerns information rather than hardware: the tire and loading label on some trucks lists a vehicle capacity weight that is simply wrong, and an owner who loads or inflates to it can be running the tires outside their limits. Complaints total 53, with 13 on the power train, 10 on service brakes and seven on air bags.
