Known issues on the 2005 Envoy. Three recalls sit on this year's federal record, two on equipment fitted after the vehicle left the plant. Leather seat covers added over the original cloth could upset the passenger sensing system, so the front passenger air bag might be switched off when it should fire, or armed when it should not. Replacement headlamps with housings deformed in production misaimed their beams. The third is factory work: windshield urethane that never bonded during curing, so the glass may not be retained in a crash.
