Known issues on the 2003 Envoy. The 2003 Envoy carries eight recalls federally. A left-front brake pipe scored during manufacture could fracture, sending pedal travel long and cutting front braking. The driver's air bag inflator could split at a weld during deployment, throwing fragments into the cabin and leaving the cushion short of full inflation. And moving the turn signal lever could set every lamp flashing together, like a hazard warning, rather than signaling one side.
