Known issues on the 1999 Envoy. One recall is on federal record: some console cover/armrest latches could release below the load required by FMVSS 201, so in a crash the lid or items stored beneath it could strike an occupant, and dealers replaced the latch mechanism. Owners have filed nine complaints with NHTSA, most often about the suspension and the power train.
