Known issues on the 2003 RX 300. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year, and all three cover replacement parts sold for the vehicle. The first covers back glass sold as replacement equipment, which fails to conform to the automotive glazing material requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 205 — a standard whose purpose is to reduce injuries resulting from impact to glazing surfaces. The other two cover exterior lighting: one for certain CK Motorsports combination headlights, clear corner, bumper and side marker lights, the other for certain Pro-A Motors corner lamps, turn signals and headlights. In both cases, some combination lamps not equipped with amber side reflectors fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108, and without the amber reflectors the vehicle will be poorly illuminated, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash without warning.
