Known issues on the 2002 Bonneville. The 2002 Bonneville has 2 recalls on record. On certain 2002 Bonneville SSEi vehicles with the supercharged 3.8L V6, the fuel tank pressure sensor was prone to failure, and a faulty sensor could let the self-test pull too much vacuum, which could damage fuel system parts and let fuel leak during refueling. Dealers replaced the sensor. Certain 2002 Bonneville vehicles had a driver's air bag inflator that could crack at a weld when deployed, sending fragments into the cabin and leaving the bag underinflated.
