Known issues on the 2002 Diamante. Two recalls are on the federal record for the 2002 Diamante. One affected 3,885 vehicles: on certain 2002 Diamante vehicles the under-hood engine control harness could sit too close to the exhaust heat shield, melt its insulation and ground the crank angle sensor wiring, making the engine run erratically or stall. Dealers inspected the harness, repaired it where needed and re-secured it. The other gave owners of certain 2002 Diamante vehicles corrected headrest instructions for fitting a child seat tether.
