Known issues on the 1999 Aurora. NHTSA lists 2 recalls for the 1999 Aurora, both on the brakes. On 988 of certain 1999 Aurora vehicles, the nuts fastening the brake booster to the pedal assembly could be loose, producing a low pedal or dragging brakes and, if they came off, a loss of braking; dealers replaced any missing nuts and tightened all four to specification. A second recall covered 38 of certain 1999 Aurora vehicles, which may have been built with mismatched front brake parts on one side, causing a pull and longer stops.
