1997 BMW 750iL Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1997 750iL. Three recalls are recorded federally. One is a labeling fault: a passenger-side mirror label applied in the wrong size lettering, which can leave a driver misjudging how close a following object is. A second covers replacement steering center drag links whose shaft can shear off and take vehicle control with it. The third concerns road grit accumulating in the lower front spring mounts until the rubber cracks and a bottom coil breaks. Both complaints logged for this year concern visibility.
